Providing a means of raising the alarm for a disabled person who requires assistance is a requirement of the Disability Discrimination Act. By installing a Disabled Persons Toilet Alarm system you can comply with the requirements of BS8300, the Disability Discrimination Act (The Equality Act), The Care Standards Act and the English Tourism's Councils National Accessability Scheme.
The provision of Disabled Refuge Points or "EVC" systems are now a requirement for all new buildings over two storeys and allow for a communication link between the refuge area and the Fire Officer or building control giving reassurance that they will be evacuated.
