Fire Alarm Systems - Installation & Maintenance...

Making sure your Fire Alarm works is of paramount importance.

A functioning, regularly serviced and tested Fire Alarm can save more than just lives it can save thousands of pounds in property damage by detecting fires in their early stages. The law and most insurers specify that any Fire Alarm fitted must be serviced and tested regularly and have documentation to prove it. Your Fire Alarm should be serviced and tested every six months with a full system test every 12 months as a minimum requirement or more often if a risk assessment specifies that it should. We offer extremely competitive maintenance prices with no hidden extras and without binding contracts. We can service, test and maintain most makes and types of Fire Alarm Systems. Our Engineers hold the new EAL Qualification.

If you do not have a Fire Alarm System, Lew Sainsbury and Sons can design, install and commission your system to BS5839. Our Engineers are fully qualified with manufacturer training and take pride in creating a reliable cost effective life safety system which is easy to use, professionally installed with second-to-none after sales support. We also provide a direct-to-Engineer number for 24/7 support. We only use reputable British manufacturers and market leaders in Fire Alarm System components such as Advanced, Apollo, FireBeam and Ctec.

We use specialist testing equipment to test your Fire Alarm System detectors and devices to ensure they are working within specification. The equipment simulates smoke and gases produced by a fire which the detectors sense as a genuine fire. No nasty smoke smells are produced and the test equipment is designed not to leave a residue in the detector.

Our Engineers will remove, clean and inspect each detector before thoroughly testing it to ensure it is functioning.

The Fire Alarm Panel is put through its paces with simulated faults and failures of systems, detectors and power supplies to ensure the Panel is monitoring for such failures during normal operation.

Once the testing is complete our Engineers will return the equipment to normal and issue a test certificate which should be kept with the system logbook and Fire Safety logbook for your premises.

We offer a wide range of Fire Alarm services and solutions:

Design, Installation and Commissioning of Conventional, Addressable, Alarmsense, Networked and Radio Systems (Xpander, EMS FireCell)
